Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust

It is the mission of the Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust to provide funds for the humane treatment of animals in Portage County.

It is hoped that we can accumulate enough funds to allow operation of all local no kill shelters, as well as provide funding for medical care and neutering services through out Portage Co.

At some point, a subsidiary corporation will be formed to arrange for medical treatment assistance for pet owners who can’t afford necessary treatment for their animals. Every attempt will be made to establish a veterinary network to provide services at a reduced rate. It is our intent that no animal that requires medical treatment should go without because the pet owner is financially unable to afford it. We want to make Portage Co. the best possible place for animals to live.

Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust

The Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust is a donor advised fund managed by the Portage Foundation, a 501c3 corporation. A board of directors will determine disbursement of funds. It is a legacy fimd that will make distributions on either an annual or semi-annual basis. Grants will be made only to 501c3 corporations and only to shelters that practice a “no kill” philosophy.
