The Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust recently made a $1,000 donation to the Portage APL for the medical care of the 6 horses that were rescued in Portage County. The emaciated animals needed special veterinary care because of their weakened condition and unfortunately, one horse died. The donation was made with some of the proceeds from Dog Days of Summer, putting it to good use right away. Supporting all animals in need is the goal of Dog Days and we were happy to help these horses in distress.
